Hi! I’m Marlies, 31, and for years becoming a tattoo artist was a secret dream of mine. I still find it so special that it actually came true.
Drawing and painting have always been a big part of my life. What started in my grandfather’s studio grew into my hobby, my degree and eventually my work as a tattoo artist. After graduating as a teacher of Visual Art and Design, I knew one thing for certain: I wanted to keep creating and help people. Tattooing brings those two things together perfectly for me.
I’m happiest creating delicate, detailed tattoos inspired by nature. Graceful flowers, beautiful plants and pets are my favourite subjects, but ultimately it is all about a design that truly suits you.
A tattoo is often so much more than a beautiful image. Sometimes it tells a personal story; sometimes it is simply something that makes you happy every day. However big or small its meaning may be, I think it is special that I get to be part of it.
Just as important as the tattoo itself is the atmosphere during the appointment. I want you to feel welcome, safe and relaxed. We can chat about books, good food, music or festivals, but if you would rather sit quietly with a podcast or a book, that is completely fine too. Anything goes.
